On this year's Girls' Day 2024, seven participants from the Aachen region spent a day getting to know the day-to-day life of an engineer in the water industry and learning about the importance of treating drinking water and purifying wastewater. Our motivation was to get the girls interested in a future career in this field.
After the thematic introduction in the morning, we went on a guided tour of the Roetgen drinking water treatment plant. Thanks to the friendly support of WAG Wassergewinnungs- und Aufberei-tungsgesellschaft Nordeifel mbH, we were able to take a close look at the ultrafiltration and all other stations of the plant.
