Innovative waste water reuse system
Development of a standardized, semi-decentralized waste water reuse container system
The AIX-Net-WWR alliance, consisting of five research institutions, one start-up and eleven companies in the Aachen region, is developing a semi-decentralized wastewater reuse system. By bringing together regional expertise, the alliance is contributing to the ecological and economic circular economy and responding to global challenges such as climate change and water scarcity. The innovative system is designed to purify municipal wastewater directly on site and make resources usable in order to promote sustainable water use. Within five joint projects, a Waste Water Reuse Demonstrator and other innovative technologies for the removal of trace substances and validation of water quality are being developed.
