Pilot and model project NiersFluX

High-resolution trace substance flux balance in the Niers catchment to quantify direct and indirect input pathways and derive options for action

As part of the NiersFluX pilot and model project, FiW developed a high-resolution substance load balancing concept to quantify the relevant input loads of point and diffuse input pathways in three sections of the Niers river based on the Niersverband's daily trace substance monitoring. The results were used to evaluate possible options for action and validate the GREAT-ER model in the Niers catchment area. The Niersverband carried out the extensive sampling and analysis during the two-year project. FiW e.V. was commissioned to carry out the scientific investigations in this study. Please find all results published in the final report.
